Favored by Zeus, Dnie was made into the guardian of the Shrine of Ice and granted the power to control ice and snow.

 

This simple goddess, however, had a feeling for Hades, the God of the Dead, while the latter has always loved Persephone, the Goddess of Vegetation. Jealousy and mockery devoured the sense of Dnie. She unsealed the headless monster in the ice, resulting in the injuries of Hades and Persephone and the destruction of the Shrine of Ice. Zeus was furious and used his power as the King of the Gods to deprive the deity of Dnie. That was how the Goddess of Ice, who symbolizes holiness, disappeared along with the Shrine of Ice.

 

Now legend has it that Dnie is sealed in somewhere mysterious, guarding the holy ice and snow permanently.
